親民黨總統參選人宋楚瑜11日表示，宜蘭應該好好發展藍色公路，不該把所以運輸資源，通通寄望陸上運輸上。宋楚瑜說，這不是單點的建設，應結合花蓮港、蘇澳港，台中港，海上運輸是帶狀，要有整體規劃，在這點上，「其他兩位候選人都不及格，沒有我了解台灣」。

宋楚瑜今日繼續「找朋友」行程，本次從蘇澳港搭乘客輪前往花蓮。宋楚瑜也提到，蘇澳港在觀光設施上，發展全「都不及格」，應加強港內觀光設施，帶動宜蘭、花蓮整體觀光發展。

宋楚瑜登上客船時表示，港內設施在他的標準來看「都不及格」，特別是登上船的步道，應該要人車分離，為步行旅客設置空橋，才能確保旅客安全。
